1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using TimeLight Diary, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
TimeLight Diary helps you capture daily moments through personal journal entries — primarily stored on your device. Features include:
- Today — view and write today's entries with mood tags, photos, and voice notes
- Memory Wall — browse past entries, filter by date, and add reactions
- Insights — mood charts and timeline views across week, month, and year periods
- Lighthouse — offline companion chat with supportive replies based on your messages and shared entries
- Glimmers Store — purchase virtual currency via Apple In-App Purchase
- Themes — unlock optional visual themes with Glimmers
- Account — Quick Login, Logout, Account Settings, and Delete Account
3. Accounts
- Quick Login generates or reuses a local username and password stored on your device.
- Logout clears your active session. After logout, you must tap Quick Login again to re-enter the app.
- Account Settings lets you change your display name and avatar stored locally.
- Delete Account permanently removes all app data on your device, including diary entries, media files, chat messages, reactions, Glimmers balance, theme unlocks, streak data, and credentials. This action cannot be undone.
You are responsible for activity under your device session.
4. Glimmers and In-App Purchases
TimeLight Diary uses Glimmers, virtual currency purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. The store offers eight consumable packs sorted by price from lowest to highest:

Glimmers may be spent in-app (for example, unlocking optional themes such as Ocean Blue or Forest Green). Glimmers have no real-world cash value, are non-transferable, and are licensed for use within TimeLight Diary only.
- All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple per Apple's policies.
- All sales are final except where required by law or Apple's refund rules.
- Consumable purchases are not restorable through a Restore Purchases button in TimeLight Diary.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of diary entries, photos, voice notes, and other content you create or import. You are solely responsible for your content. TimeLight Diary does not host a public social network; content you create stays on your device unless you choose to share it outside the app.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use TimeLight Diary for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
- Store content that infringes others' intellectual property or privacy rights
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or circumvent app security or payment systems
7. Intellectual Property
TimeLight Diary, its design, Lighthouse companion branding, and related assets are owned by the developer. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
8. Disclaimers
TimeLight Diary is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Journaling tools and Lighthouse companion replies are for personal reflection and encouragement only — not medical, psychological, or professional advice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of TimeLight Diary, including loss of data on your device. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Glimmers in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using TimeLight Diary at any time by deleting the app or using Delete Account. We may discontinue or modify the app at any time.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date will reflect changes. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in your jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply.
